Yarmuth and Beshear Announce Major Progress for Museum Plaza Project
Louisville, KY - November 5, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Congressman John Yarmuth and Governor Steve Beshear are pleased to announce significant, positive progress in the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s application for a $100 million federal loan from the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the development of Museum Plaza. Congressman Yarmuth received a letter from HUD Assistant Secretary Mercedes Marquez which states, in part, “HUD is optimistic that a [loan] commitment can be issued.” And, upon receipt of the project receiving a commitment for the remaining $140.5 million construction loan and other administrative requirements, “HUD will move promptly to complete the process for issuance of a Section 108 commitment.”
Governor Announces Additional Mortgage Help for Active Job Seekers
FRANKFORT, KY - October 1, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Gov. Steve Beshear, along with Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) Chief Executive Officer Richard L. McQuady, today announced that Kentucky will receive additional funding from the U.S. Treasury Department to help unemployed and underemployed homeowners pay their mortgages as they seek work. Kentucky originally expected to receive $55.6 million, but received notification today that that state will receive an additional $93.3 million for a total of $148.9 million.
Kentucky to receive $500k for state energy efficiency projects

Governor announces grant for Fulton housing revitalization
