Local government, business leaders will benefit from Creative Industry Summit

-

FRANKFORT, Ky. – November 10, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The second annual Kentucky Creative Industry Summit, Nov. 12-13 at the Owensboro Convention Center, is a continuation of the Kentucky Arts Council’s commitment to empowering the creative industry to grow, and to contribute in a positive way to Kentucky communities.

The summit is also an opportunity for groups that have a stake in a thriving creative industry — community development organizations, chambers of commerce, Main Street organizations, Trail Towns, city and county governments — to form strategic partnerships with individual artists and arts organizations in furthering community development efforts

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, fosters environments for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts. The arts council, along with the NEA, is celebrating 50 years of service in 2015, which the arts council is recognizing as the Year of the Arts in Kentucky
